AmeriCorps NCCC is now accepting Concept Forms for service projects in Round 3 2019 timeframes (July 12 – September 7 and/or August 16 – October 16). Due date is March 7, 2019.  AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) strengthens communities and develops leaders through a federal full-time, team-based, residential national service program. NCCC partners with a variety of nonprofit organizations, federal, state, and local agencies, and tribal organizations to complete projects typically lasting 6-8 weeks which address a compelling community need that would not be fully addressed without additional assistance.

Ohio History Service Corps members help local organizations put history to work in their community through historic site survey, collections digitization, and capacity building for local historical organizations. Cyrus Moore is in his third year of service with the Ohio History Service Corps, serving as a Local History member with the Southeast Ohio History Center in Athens for two years and now with the Ohio History Connection in Columbus. Three years of service with an organization means you love what you’re doing and in honor of February and Valentine’s Day, ServeOhio asked Cyrus how his service puts his passion to work.
